AEAS and Education Agents – working together for success

AEAS has worked with and supported Education Agents for over 35 years, with agents being valued partners in international school education. AEAS values the knowledge and expertise of education agents in international markets.

AEAS organises Australian Schools-Education Agent Workshops in key source countries, facilitating interaction and networking between agents and Australian schools. These business to business meetings provide an important opportunity to work with some of the most elite schools in Australia.

AEAS offers education agent training, webinars and seminars. Please contact [email protected] if you would like your agency to receive invitations to AEAS events.

AEAS has been providing high quality testing for international students planning to study in schools in Australia since 1985. AEAS now also provides testing services for schools in New Zealand, USA, UK and Canada, as well as international schools in other countries around the world.

We have been referring our students for AEAS testing for more than 15 years. Different from other English tests, AEAS is designed for school age students, and examines English, Non Verbal and Mathematics skills.

The AEAS Report provides a comprehensive picture of a student’s ability, which is helpful for education agents to assist parents in choosing the most suitable school for their child.

I consider the AEAS Report to be one of the most essential admission requirements for most private schools in Australia.

Why should agents refer their students for AEAS testing?

Education Agents benefit from referring students for an AEAS Test by receiving quality information which enables counsellors to recommend the most suitable school for each student. Enrolling students at the school that most closely matches their needs will support your agency to achieve and maintain an excellent reputation as a quality agent and will contribute to a strong business.

Why are the AEAS Test and the AEAS Report useful for agents?

  • Education agents can assist the family/student to register for an AEAS Test. All registrations must be completed in English and agent details can be added to the registration. The agent will receive a copy of the final report when it is published and can submit it with the student’s school application.

  • The AEAS Report can guide education agents and parents on the choice of school, based on English proficiency level and overall ability levels.

  • The agent can counsel the family on timing of the student’s travel arrangements and year to apply for, by understanding the length of time needed to complete the recommended intensive English language program.

  • Many of the top schools in Australia and around the world require an AEAS Report to be submitted with every international student application. Agents who are familiar with the AEAS Test and recommend it to their students may develop successful working relationships with these top schools.

The AEAS Test is an essential tool for Australian/NZ schools to understand the student’s abilities that is independent of the student’s school reports, to decide their suitability to accept the student’s application and provide the necessary support upon commencement at the school.

We would encourage students to take AEAS when considering Australian schools for admissions.

The AEAS Test is a really helpful indicator to assess students’ English proficiency in addition to their school reports. Sometimes, school reports cannot truly reflect students’ abilities in some subjects, but AEAS helps to review students’ performance with a more objective standard.
