Three of Australia’s leading international student service providers are working together to provide a pathway for international school-aged students to live and learn in Australia.

AEAS, the Australian Homestay Network (AHN) and ISA Student Advocates (ISA) are collaborating to deliver their specialised services to Australian schools and education agents to promote Australia as the destination of choice for the academic and personal success of younger international students.

AEAS testing and preparation courses are regarded as an essential admission tool for international primary and secondary school students, while AHN and ISA offer a joint package that provides exceptional support services, high-quality accommodation and independent professional care for Under 18 students.

AEAS Managing Director, Tracey O’Halloran, said the partnership would help students from non-English speaking backgrounds prepare to study in Australia and give parents peace of mind when planning their child’s study journey.

“Taking an AEAS Test is often one of the very first steps in a student’s pathway to studying abroad. Because the AEAS Report is accepted by over 80% of all CRICOS-registered schools in Australia, families and agents know that they are investing in a service that will unlock the door to the very best Australian schools. The combined expertise of our three organisations should leave parents assured that their children will be expertly cared for and nurtured throughout their entire study abroad journey,” Ms O’Halloran said.

Ms O’Halloran said the COVID-19 pandemic had reinforced the importance of ancillary service providers to the overall success and viability of the Australian international school sector.

“Formalising the existing relationships AEAS had with AHN and ISA was the next logical step to reaffirm our individual, industry-leading positions whilst also ensuring our collective post-COVID recovery,” she said.

CEO of AHN, Julie Manche, said working with other industry-leading organisations like AEAS and ISA enhances student experience and outcomes.

“AHN has successfully placed more than 63,000 international students in welcoming homestays across Australia. Combining AHN’s world-class homestay program with ISA’s specialised support services for students under the age of 18 ensures younger students are safe, cared for and happy throughout their time in Australia. We know our established standards-based model is effective, however, students who have also undertaken AEAS testing will be equipped with the confidence to better communicate with their host family, transition to an Australian classroom, and integrate with the community,” Ms Manche said.

ISA Managing Director, Ivan Mckinney, said the collaboration gave schools and education agents the best opportunity to offer the most comprehensive support solutions for younger students.

“Young students from non-English speaking backgrounds need additional care and support services to assist them in settling into their new environment and education provider. ISA’s multilingual national team offer these specialised support services to the student, parents, homestay host and education provider. With the combined resources and experience of Australia’s leading ancillary support services – AEAS, AHN and ISA – young students and their families can begin their journey with complete confidence and peace of mind,” Mr McKinney said.

Education providers and agents are encouraged to visit the organisations’ websites to learn how they can assist in meeting National Code obligations and expectations for younger students.
